Why Choose Taylor Rose? If you’re thinking of becoming a consultant solicitor, you may be wondering which law firm you should work with. We appreciate that you may have a choice of firms to join as a consultant. At Taylor Rose, we offer high-quality support to our team members, and we’re confident that what we offer compares favourably with other law firms.
As a consultant solicitor, you are self-employed and therefore have the freedom to choose where you work, when you work, and how much you earn. At Taylor Rose, we allow our consultants to work in any one of the 30+ offices that we have located across the country. We also offer home working and hybrid working for consultants that don’t want to work in an office full-time. Consultants that work for us have the ability to set their own hours and choose how many caseloads they want to take on at any one time. Our consultant solicitors are able to choose where they work and tailor their work schedules to suit their needs.
Taylor Rose also offers competitive salaries to our lawyers. We offer a 70/30 split in your favour, rising to 75/25, when you hit £250,000. We also offer a 60/40 split if you choose office or hybrid working, including access to desk space in one of our offices. This then increases to 65/35, when you hit £250,000.
We offer high-level support to all our consultants and provide you with all the tools you need to get started. In exchange for the fee split, whether you work from home or the office, you have access to a range of services and benefits. As a consultant, you will have access to our business development team along with IT and Marketing. We also offer holiday cover through our ‘buddy’ system ensuring your clients are still receiving a high-quality service whilst you take time off.
We understand that moving from employed law work to self-employed work as a consultant can sometimes be daunting, but we provide extensive back-office support to ensure that our consultants can do their best work. Our dedicated Consultant Liaison Team provides support with initial setup, training, and ongoing career development. Our consultant solicitors also receive HR support, support with accounts and invoicing, and much more.
As a consultant, you are required to have a following of clients to use your service and as a firm, we do not source these for you. However, we support our consultants by holding monthly networking events across our offices and encouraging cross-referrals between colleagues.
By working with us, you will be associated with an established and well-respected brand. We are a top 60 law firm, with over 100 years of experience. Taylor Rose has been running its consultant programme in harmony with employed lawyers for many years, sharing a passion for excellence and client care. We believe that our firm is the best place to be for any consultant solicitor.
